Weight Lifting
Having noticed that weight lifting is a popular sport, I have come to notice that within the deaf world, as far as I can see there is no sign of weight lifting.
My aim now is to get weight lifting added to the Deaflympics, and also start up some sort of club or group aimed at deaf people.
I wish to gain interest in this area and also get as many people interested and willing to compete in this sport, whether you are in Great Britain or anywhere in the world.
Please contact me at daveblackwell205@hotmail.com stating your experience.

LONDON MARATHON 2005
My name is Sandra Campbell, an executive member for Deaf UK Athletics and a mother of three children. I have been accepted a place in the London Marathon 2005, my running number is 8874.
I am looking for any deaf runner who lives in London have been accepted a
place like me, it would be great to run, accompany with a running partner or
group on the 26 miles road race.
Maybe we could do for training/coaching once a week, starting on end of
January until April 2005, with a deaf running group anywhere in Central
London - easy for us to traveling in the middle of London from anywhere.
And also possible involving in various road races running competitions in
London and the surrounding around, to boost up our performances, motivation
and confidence. All these are for the preparation of London Marathon 2005.
If you think it would be a good idea..email me on
deafukathletics@hotmail.com
Regards, Sandra Campbell
I wish all the British athletes the best of luck for the 2005 Melbourne Deaflympics. Grab as many medals as you can while you're there,
