Candy wins 5000m at the Kent County Championships
I competed in the Kent County Championships last weekend at the Julie Rose Stadium. I won the Veterans 35, 5,000m race in a time of 19:43.09, which is my season’s best. Compare the time to last years 5000m race in September 2009 during the Taiwan Deaflympics where I ran 19:15.70 PB.
The weather was cold and I am really pleased with the time as it is at the start of my racing season. I feel very confident and I am really looking forward to competing in the league matches this season.
I have entered the 5,000m Southern Vets County Championships held at the Julie Rose Stadium on June 6th 2010, so I will be hoping to get a good time and improve on my season’s best.
