We are a voluntary and independent organisation founded in late 2002.
Our aim is to be able to improve the opportunities for deaf and hard of hearing athletes. We wish to select talented (high standard) athletes to represent GB in international competitions and want to see the future of deaf athletics greatly improved for deaf people. DUKA as an organisation welcomes anyone who is interested in working alongside deaf athletes, coaches, officials and other volunteers.
Everyone involved with DUKA is a volunteer who is committed, passionate and enthusiastic about improving the opportunities within deaf athletics especially for the deaf. However, as an organisation, we also welcome everyone who is interested in working alongside deaf athletes whether they are deaf or not.
